CONDICIONALES O,1,2,3

Un condicional se usa para mostrar una situación o circunstancia, que si pasa, generalmente traerá consecuencias o resultados. Hay cuatro tipos de condicionales:

CONDICIONAL 0:

Este condicional refiere a una situación 100% segura (verdades universales):

If (causa)	Complemento (consecuencia)
If + Presente simple,	Presente simple.
If you freeze wáter,	it turns into ice.
If I work too much,	I get tired.

Ejemplos:

·        If you mix white and black paint, you get grey. 

Si mezclas pintura blanca y negra, obtienes gris. 

·        If you heat butter, it melts.

Si calientas mantequilla, esta de derrite.

·        If you heat water to 100 degrees, it boils.

Si calientas agua a 100 grados, ésta hierve.

·        If you cross an international date line, the time changes.

Si crusas una linea de tiempo internacional, la hora cambiara.

CONDICIONAL 1:

Este condicional se refiere a una situación 50% segura, real o posible:

If (causa)	Complemento (consecuencia)
If + Presente simple	will / could / may / must.
If it rains today,	I'll stay at home.
If he is busy now,	I will come back tomorrow.

Ejemplos:

·        If we don’t protect the panda bears, they will become extinct.

Si no protegemos los osos panda, se extinguirán.

·        If the day is sunny, I’ll go to the beach.

Si el día es soleado, iré a la playa.

·        If make my homeworks, I will go to the party.

Si hago mis tareas, yo iré a la fiesta.

·        If she doesn’t come to work, she could get fire.

Si ella no viene a trabajar, ella podría ser despedida.

CONDICIONAL 2:

Este condicional se refiere a una situación hipotética:

If (causa)	Complemento (consecuencia)
If + Pasado simple	would / could / might.
If I won the lottery,	I would travel around the
If I were you,	I would buy that car.

Ejemplos:

·        If I ate lot of hamburgers, i could get overweight.

Si comiera muchas hamburguesas, tendría sobrepeso.

·        If I were rich, I would buy a castle.

Si fuera rico, compraría un castillo.

·        If I were him, I would go and see a doctor.

Si fuera él, aria al médico.

·        If elephants had wings, they would be able to fly.

Si los elefantes tuvieran alas, podrían volar.

CONDICIONAL 3:

Este condicional se refiere a una situación hipotética del pasado, como una lamentación de algo que ya paso:

If (causa)	Complemento (consecuencia)
If + Pasado perfecto	would/ could/ might + presente perfecto.
If I had left earlier,	I would have arrived on time.
If we had studied harder,	we might have passed the test.

Ejemplos:

·        If I had passed my driving test, I would have bought a car. 

Si hubiera pasado mi examen de conducir, habría comprado un carro.

·        If you had been listening, you might have understood the instructions.

Si hubieras estado escuchando, tal vez habrías entendido las instrucciones.

·        You might have been able to go to the concert, if you had tried to get the tickets last month. 

Tal vez habrías podido ir al concierto, si hubieras intentado comprar los tiquetes el mes pasado.

·        What would you have done if you had been in the same situation?

 Que habrías hecho si hubieras estado en la misma situación?

INFORMACION EXTRA:

Podemos jugar con la estructura de los condicionales, poniendo causa-consecuencia o consecuencia-causa, sin alterar nunca su sentido, pero debemos tener cuidado con la gramática.
